Melbourne Zoo is Australia's oldest zoo. It was opened in 1862 as a place to acclimatize pets brought to Australia. Today, on an area of 22 hectares, there's a home for 350 species of animals and birds from different parts of the world.
Melbourne Zoo is divided into bioclimatic zones, in each of which certain animals live. Winding paths are laid between the enclosures, thanks to which the animals feel complete freedom. To appreciate the diversity of its inhabitants, we recommend visiting the zoo online.
